
The Union cabinet allowed 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) under the automatic route in the space sector. Pawan Goenka, the chairman of the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe), characterized this decision as a "game-changing" move that is poised to elevate India to unprecedented achievements in the field of space. Expressing admiration for PM Modi's vision, Goenka asserted that this decision will enhance the involvement of non-governmental entities in space research and manufacturing, marking a significant stride forward.
