Canada wants to have private talks with India to resolve a diplomatic dispute over the killing of Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly stated that they take the safety of Canadian diplomats seriously and believe that diplomatic conversations are best when they remain private. This comes after a report claimed that India had asked Canada to withdraw 41 diplomats. India has told Canada to repatriate the diplomats by October 10.
