Hamas health ministry says more than 80 dead in strikes on refugee camp
Over 80 people were killed in twin Israeli strikes on the Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. One strike targeted a UN-run school, which had been converted into a shelter for displaced Palestinians, resulting in at least 50 deaths. The UN agency for Palestinian refugees condemned the attack, calling for an end to such violence. Another strike on a building in the camp killed 32 members of the same family, including 19 children. The Israeli army stated that it was expanding operations in the Gaza Strip to target terrorists and strike Hamas infrastructure.
