HMSI inaugurates third assembly line in Vithalapur plant, company adds capacity to manufacture 6.5 lakh two-wheelers in Gujarat
Automobile major, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) Limited, inaugurated the third assembly line at its Vithalapur plant, adding an additional manufacturing capacity. The plant now has a total capacity of 19.7 lakh units per annum. This expansion plan will increase HMSI's total annual production volumes significantly. The Vithalapur plant manufactures popular gearless two-wheeler models like Honda Activa, Dio, Activa 125, and Dio 125, and also serves as a base for manufacturing global engines for the global demand.
