ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, India vs Australia, as it happened: Rohit guides India to semi-finals
A recap of India’s Super 8 match against Afghanistan at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St Lucia.

That’s it from us tonight! Do join us on Thursday when India take on England in the semi-final.
India secure their spot in the semi-finals and have all but ended Australia’s tournament. The Aussies need Bangladesh to beat Afghanistan but not by a huge margin to sneak in. However, Afghanistan are favourites at the moment to join India, England and South Africa in the last-four.
Australia almost knocked out by India ???????? this is for WTC 2023 & WC 2023 #T20WorldCup— S.Badrinath (@s_badrinath) June 24, 2024
Fine all round performance by India. Rohit’s blazing 92, splendid pace and spin bowling and Axar’s sensational catch to dismiss Marsh key factors. Aus down but not yet out. Slender hope of reaching semis rests on B’desh beating Afghanistan. Which many would consider a travesty— Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) June 24, 2024
If Afghanistan win, Afghanistan qualify.
Bangladesh need to win by 62 runs atleast (while batting first)
If Bangladesh bowl first, they need to chase 110 target in 12 overs, 130 overs in 12.2 overs.. and so on.
Australia will qualify if BD win but by smaller margin— Krishna Kumar (@KrishnaKRM) June 24, 2024
An unbelievable catch. A timely wicket. Economical too.
Axar Patel’s contributions don’t get the same sort of attention…but have made the difference in clutch games. Vs Pak. Vs Aus....
