Joint investigation team formed to probe attacks on churches in Pakistan
The government of Punjab, Pakistan has formed a high-powered Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to investigate the recent attacks on churches and homes of Christians. The mob attacks, allegedly led by extremists from the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), resulted in the burning of 21 churches and 86 houses. Over 200 people, including TLP activists, have been arrested in connection with the attacks.
