Citadel has Priyanka Chopra performing some dangerous stunts, and many of the moves even left the star with cuts and bruises
Priyanka Chopra is currently basking in all the compliments and praise coming her way for her lead role in the spy drama Citadel. The action-packed show has Priyanka Chopra performing some dangerous stunts, and many of the moves even left the star with cuts and bruises. We know this because Priyanka Chopra has shared some behind-the-scenes glimpses from the sets of Citadel on Instagram. The clip begins with her saying, “Tell me your job is glamorous, without telling me that your job is glamorous.” This is then followed by several visuals of her bruised face and body, and some clips of the actor getting medical aid. In the caption, Priyanka Chopra wrote, “Blood, sweat, and tears, literally. So grateful for the brilliant stunt coordinators on Citadel, @don_thai , @jyou10 and @nikkipowell114 you made doing my own stunts feel like a cakewalk. Wait, what, kidding! There was nothing easy about that but having you and your excellent team around made me feel so safe. Thank you.”
Thanking her team further, Priyanka Chopra added, “Also special thanks to my amazing stunt double @neeshnation, who did all the falling/landing (the tuff stuff) on my behalf. Couldn't have done this without you all. Season finale this week. PS: wait for the end. That's @jyou10 as usual hyping me.”
Citadel, produced by the Russo brothers and created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil, stars Richard Madden opposite Priyanka Chopra.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra has also been making headlines for her comments on how she quit a film after the director said that he wanted to see her in underwear in a scene. Speaking about the “dehumanising” experience to The Zoe Report, she said, “I'm undercover, I'm seducing the guy — obviously that's what girls do when they're undercover. But I'm seducing the guy and you have to take off one piece of clothing [at a time]. I wanted to layer up. The filmmaker was like, ‘No, I need to see her underwear. Otherwise, why is anybody coming to watch this movie?'”
Priyanka Chopra added, "He didn't say it to me. He said it to the stylist in front of me. It was such a dehumanising moment. It was a feeling of, "I'm nothing else outside of how I can be used, my art is not important, what I contribute is not important,” and confirmed that the incident occurred in 2002-2003 when she had just about made her debut.
Priyanka Chopra will be seen next in Heads of State alongside Idris Elba. She will also return to Bollywood with Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa.
