Putin says some Western weapons for Ukraine are ending up in the Taliban's hands
Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed that Western weapons supplied to Ukraine are being sold on the illegal arms market and ending up in the hands of the Taliban in the Middle East. Western powers have sent Ukraine billions of dollars worth of weapons since Russia's intervention in Ukraine in 2014. While Ukraine insists it maintains tight control over these weapons, concerns have been raised about the potential for corruption and the illegal arms trade.
