British nurse Lucy Letby has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six others while working as a neonatal nurse in northern England. The motive behind her crimes may never be completely understood, but during the trial, prosecutors presented several possible motivations, including infatuation with a doctor, a sense of control and enjoyment, dissatisfaction with less sick infants, emotional turmoil, and finding excitement in the distress of parents.
