Tsunami warning after 7.4 magnitude quake hits Alaskan peninsula

A 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck off the Alaska peninsula late Saturday local time, triggering a tsunami warning, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said. Alaska was hit by a 9.2-magnitude earthquake in March 1964, the strongest ever recorded in North America. More than 250 people were killed by the quake and the tsunami.
