Ukraine says it shot down volley of Russian 'hypersonic' missiles
Ukraine claimed to have shot down six Kinzhal missiles, Russia’s touted next-generation hypersonic missile, in a bid to thwart a planned attack. Russia’s defence ministry dismissed the claim arguing that a Kinzhal missile had instead destroyed a US-made Patriot defence system that was deployed in the city of Kyiv.
